Mutatio" is the title of the second album by the spanish metal band ILEX, conceptualized as a work about the Change and Evolution necessary in the existence of any being.

"Mutatio" was originally written in 2014.
Drums recorded in February 2015 at TMF Studios, Madrid.
Voices and the rest of instruments recorded and edited by Jaime Cordón in Cáceres between September 2022 and July 2023.
Mixed and Mastered by Nikolas Quemtri between November 2023 and February 2024 at NRQ Studios, Ukraine.
Lyrics by Curro Corcho.

This album is completely self-produced and self-financed.

Ilex Cáceres, Spain

Ilex is a Groove/Thrash Metal band, with a wide variety of influences from the different members.

The band was formed in 2010 in Cáceres (Spain). In December of 2010 they recorded their first studio demo. In 2012 they released their first LP, Quercus.

In 2015 the band went on hiatus.

Now, after 9 years they've finally released that second album, for free streaming and as a digital LP.
